Where Do You Stand?

Whether you are an employee or an owner of a business, how you operate in your profession and your personal life is only as good as the foundation on which you stand. What are your priorities and values that guide your actions and decisions? Do you trust that your foundation will sustain you through the pressures and uncertainties of life?

The Foundation On Which We Stand

We, The Breezz, believe in building on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. The more you invest time in studying God’s Word, seeking God in every decision and asking the Holy Spirit to lead you, the stronger your structure of work and personal life will become. As you learn to stand on God’s promises and apply His Word, you develop a lasting faith in God and experience His power and provision. "24Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it." Matthew 7:24-29.

How to Withstand Business Challenges

When you stand on the foundation of Jesus Christ, you will find yourself at peace in the presence of God, no matter what comes your way because you know that God is with you, leading you through any outside forces. But know that a firm foundation doesn’t mean that you will never experience unwanted or unexpected circumstances. When situations arise, you can be confident that God is with you and He will see you through. Jesus said, "33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Of course, when you commit to your endeavors you want to successfully accomplish your goals. But what’s most important is not so much seeing results the way you expect, but rather seeing results that are greater than your expectations – even if the results are not for your benefit.

Try Applying Godly Principles

Success comes with mindful and persistent effort to achieve whatever God calls you to do. When you apply Godly principles, you build a deep and lasting relationship with Christ, and you are able to keep your pace as you move forward. The Scripture verses in Hebrews 12:1-2 say "1…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." Also, know that building your foundation on Godly principles will not keep you from experiencing any troubles in life, but it will keep you moving forward if you don’t give up. "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9. When we stand on God’s promises, He will shelter us from storms because He is “our refuge and strength in times of trouble” (Psalm 46)—that is, there are some storms that God knows you will benefit more with His protection. Then there are other storms that God allows you to endure for your good.

So, how can experiencing troubles have any value for your good? When you are facing troubles, you grow by finding strength that you never knew you had before. You show others that they too can press forward and also experience growth. You learn something new that you didn’t realize at the time that you will need down the road. And…you glorify God in Heaven from whom all blessings flow. Basically, there’s nothing more powerful than to conquer any unfavorable forces. And you can do so when you apply God’s principles to every aspect of your life, personal and professional. Jesus said, "All things are possible for those who believe." Please know that, when you are following Christ, the promise of “all things that are possible…” does not necessarily mean that everything that you want or feel that you need you will receive. God did not promise to spoil you or give you the impression that “your every wish is His command.” God does promise that He will never leave or forsake you. That is a promise that we can surely stand on.
